Functionality

The Cancer Referral Overview enables users to review and close referrals following the cancer workflow:

  • Link to the Cancer Decision Support System (cDSS)

In addition to the Primary and Supplementary HTML files, users can link to the Cancer DSS to review variants.

    Creating SoFs in cDSS

In BSVI, users could create a new Summary of Findings (SoF), but this led to duplicated work. In the new cDSS, creating a SoF is not possible. The HTML report generated by the bioinformatics pipeline should be used as the Summary of Findings. See the cDSS user guide for more information.

  • Submitting the Cancer Referral Feedback form

To close a case and record the clinical outcomes, users must complete a Reporting Outcomes Questionnaire (RoQ), also known as an Exit Questionnaire. Note that if a case has been closed in the cDSS, the Feedback form can no longer be completed in the Portal.

  • Download Files

Files associated with the referral, including the Primary and Supplementary HTML reports, can be downloaded from the Referral Overview page.

Additional cancer-related files and VCFs can also be downloaded from the main cancer case page.
